Rude doctor and dismissive receptionist

Steer clear!!! If zero stars were an option, I'd choose it. My husband has been on a specific medication for 13 years, trying numerous treatments before finding this one that works. Recently, due to increased fatigue and stress, the medication's effectiveness has diminished. We contacted his GP practice to discuss dosage adjustment, a standard approach for his condition. Since he hadn't recently seen specialists, we went through the referral process. Dr. Karthi communicated with the hospital about interim management. This hospital, which has never treated my husband, suggested a new medicine with triple the original dosage. We expressed concerns about this high-dose medication and requested to continue his previous prescription. Dr. Karthi refused and dramatically presented the hospital's response, demanding I read it immediately - as if I were incapable of understanding. His condescending attitude suggested he assumed we were unintelligent because English isn't our first language. We've lived here seven years, consistently paying taxes and NHS contributions! Frustrated by his unhelpfulness, I scheduled an appointment with another doctor to potentially reinstate the original medication. She promised to email the hospital and follow up. Today, when I called to check progress, the receptionist falsely accused me of repeatedly requesting medicine changes and was entirely unprofessional. I've always been respectful and followed instructions precisely. This experience is unacceptable. We're absolutely leaving this practice! Their incompetence has forced us to waste countless hours navigating their bureaucracy. My advice: save yourself the hassle and find a more competent medical provider!
