Rude doctor made me feel awful

My first encounter with a truly disappointing GP practice occurred when I registered here. During a phone consultation with Dr. Khan, I shared my health concerns and requested an x-ray, as recommended by both 111 and the hospital. Her demeanor immediately shifted, dismissively stating she wouldn't authorize the x-ray and accusing her of wasting hospital time. When I explained my significant pain and desire for reassurance, she coldly responded that they "do not do x-rays for peace of mind." Her communication was incredibly unprofessional, consistently interrupting me and refusing to provide a constructive explanation for denying the x-ray, instead demanding I stop requesting it. During a subsequent face-to-face appointment, she was accompanied by two student doctors and adopted a completely different, overly pleasant persona, which felt disingenuous and uncomfortable given our previous interaction. The profound lack of compassion, understanding, and basic human empathy was deeply hurtful, leaving me feeling both emotionally devastated and frustrated. However, I must acknowledge the practice's male receptionist, who was remarkably kind and supportive during our conversation - a reminder that genuine compassion still exists.
