Rude prescription lady treated me terribly

I am writing today to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the manner in which the prescription staff communicates with patients! I initially contacted my pharmacy to request a repeat prescription for citalopram, but they were unable to help. Being bed-bound and without internet access, I called the surgery seeking assistance, only to encounter an abrupt and uncompassionate employee in the prescription department. Her telephone manner was shockingly unprofessional and rude, despite my being extremely weak and unwell - and I was not in any way discourteous or aggressive. I am astounded that they would employ someone who represents their organization so poorly, especially when callers are typically in vulnerable situations seeking help. Their recorded message about treating staff respectfully seems ironic, as their staff could benefit from training on patient communication and empathy. This is not an isolated incident, and such treatment is completely unacceptable. While I understand patients can usually request prescriptions online or in person, there are circumstances where individuals cannot do so. Staff should approach each situation with understanding and compassion, rather than being stern and indifferent to patients' challenges. Having been with this surgery for many years, I am shocked by the dramatic decline in customer service. The way the practice is currently managed is simply incomprehensible. If I could rate them lower than zero stars, I absolutely would.
