Rude Receptionist Dismisses My Urgent Call

As much as I understand this might be a hectic medical practice, there is absolutely no justification for the receptionist's robotic, emotionless, and discourteous demeanor! I've just learned of my father's passing, and between work and severe anxiety preventing proper sleep for three weeks, I submitted an e-consult to obtain a prescription. They claimed to have called me, but I received no missed calls. I requested another phone consultation today, and they called once without attempting a second contact, recognizing people work 9-5 jobs where calls can be missed. When I called reception again about this urgent matter, the receptionist was incredibly insensitive and appeared completely indifferent to my situation. She refused to believe I hadn't received yesterday's call, simply stating 'that's what the notes show', making me feel like an inconvenience interrupting her day. Her tone and lack of empathy were shocking. You desperately need to hire receptionists with better interpersonal skills, as I cannot tolerate such rudeness. No matter how exhausting a job becomes, I would never dismiss someone's feelings or personal struggles. The fundamental purpose of a receptionist is to demonstrate compassion as the primary point of contact for patients. I am absolutely appalled by the service received! Please invest in developing genuine people skills.
