Rude receptionist ruined our morning visit

I arrived at the medical center this morning with my 5-month-old for a scheduled 10:00 appointment, but the receptionist dismissively suggested I was merely seeking additional medication for my baby. Despite my early morning booking, she made me wait an entire hour with my unwell infant. When I explained I couldn't wait due to other children needing care, she rudely and condescendingly demanded I sit down. Frustrated, I left the surgery with my sick child, refusing to tolerate her disrespectful treatment. 1. What makes her so miserable in her professional role? 2. How can a medical facility permit such insensitive and aggressive staff to interact with patients? 3. What gives anyone the right to speak so disrespectfully, particularly to people of color? I genuinely pity her, as she appears to be a resentful individual trapped in a job she clearly despises.
