Rude receptionists ruined my medical care

It pains me to share that at least two female reception staff consistently display a disheartening attitude, perpetually sighing when answering calls. They come across as irritable and unhelpful, seemingly doing everything possible to avoid scheduling appointments. Their customer service is nonexistent. Thankfully, the male staff member and another employee named Kath are pleasant. The nurses and doctors are also wonderful. Having been with this practice for 16 years, I've noticed this deterioration over the past 3 years. My advice: if you're not passionate about the job, step aside and let someone who genuinely wants to help take over. Recently, I experienced a deeply personal medical situation where I was shuttled around unnecessarily. After much pleading and physically appearing at the surgery, I finally saw a compassionate GP who immediately sent me to A&E. I should not have been forced to worry and drive around all day, dealing with an uninterested staff member who seemed to follow a rigid, unhelpful protocol, especially considering I had an urgent medical issue requiring immediate attention. While we can all occasionally make mistakes, their complete lack of interest and apparent desire to dismiss my concerns was appalling. They remain consistently unpleasant, which has prompted me to file a complaint with the NHS. It's truly unfortunate, as the practice would otherwise be excellent.
