Rude receptionists ruining patient experience

I've been a patient at the Jenner practice for many years. Unfortunately, the current reception staff (older female employees) are incredibly rude and unhelpful. They seem to forget that their job is to provide a service to the community and that they are paid to do so professionally. They appear to lack understanding that good customer service and respect are essential, regardless of a patient's appearance or background. We are diverse individuals with unique needs and vulnerabilities, and should not be treated with contempt or made to feel like an inconvenience. These staff members should remember that they too might one day be on the other side of the reception desk, seeking medical assistance. If they are dissatisfied with their role, they should consider finding alternative employment that better suits their skills and allows someone with genuine compassion and communication abilities to take their place. Clearly, training in customer service, professional etiquette, and equal opportunities would be beneficial. The service was significantly better a few years ago when young graduates managed the reception and phone lines. To the practice manager, please don't bother responding - existing reviews already highlight these issues, and your previous responses have not led to any noticeable improvements, only a continued decline in staff customer service. Mobility needs to address the frustrating appointment system - the 8:00 am booking method and inability to schedule appointments in advance are problematic. Stop experimenting with booking system changes. When patients are unwell, they want to see a GP or nurse as quickly as possible. customer service
