Rude staff and impossible appointment system

My interaction with Lynsey was unsatisfactory. She advised me to schedule a prescription review. After spending three days attempting to book by phone, I visited the surgery and was informed by the receptionist that no appointments were available, and I should call back after 8am. I explained that I had already tried calling, and by 8:20am all slots were gone, and twice I couldn't even reach anyone in time. I was then subjected to aggressive accusations of dishonesty. She loudly declared she would summon the practice manager, to which I agreed, knowing I had done nothing wrong. He arrived and insisted we move to a private room, seemingly to prevent other patients from overhearing. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the receptionist's treatment and stated my intention to file a complaint with the NHS. He proceeded to offer various excuses for the staff's behavior and the surgery's management. After several minutes of justifications, I realized the matter would remain unresolved, and I reiterated my plan to complain. His response was to discourage pursuing the complaint. I requested the door be unlocked and departed. I have subsequently filed a complaint with the NHS. As a 73-year-old pensioner with arthritis and partial sight, I have previously been forced to walk one and a half miles and queue outside the surgery at 7:30am in heavy rain just to secure a doctor's appointment.
