Running out of crucial medication soon

I'm thoroughly disheartened by the medical practice's current approach. When I attempted to request a refill of my previous prescription, I was informed that a review cannot occur until next Monday. The most frustrating aspect is that I was initially provided with only a week's worth of medication, leaving me in a precarious position without my necessary treatment until someone addresses my request. I'm fully aware that the staff are overwhelmed and scheduling can be challenging, but this situation seems entirely preventable. The emotional strain of requiring medication is compounded by the need to constantly follow up and potentially go without essential treatment due to administrative delays. Despite my best efforts to remain understanding and patient, I cannot help but feel profoundly disappointed by the clinic's lack of responsiveness and apparent indifference to patient needs.
