Rushed and impersonal clinic experience

What has become of the personal connection between healthcare providers and patients? I call to schedule a consultation for my child, and I'm immediately instructed to submit a photo, then directed to obtain a prescription without any direct interaction with a physician! I am completely shocked and dismayed! If this is the standard of care, one might as well replace general practitioners with an automated system! Not to mention, I wasted 35 minutes on hold just to communicate with a receptionist!
