Rushed care and rude receptionists dampen patient experience

The medical professionals are skilled, though occasionally rushed and dismissive of health concerns that later proved significant, which I recognize may stem from their high-pressure environment. The reception staff, in my experience, have been minimally professional. Most interactions have involved being treated disrespectfully and condescendingly, particularly due to my age. The NHS has even had to intervene on my behalf when my urgent medical needs were not taken seriously. In contrast, the pharmacy staff remain consistently helpful and friendly. Of all the medical practices I've encountered, this reception team stands out for their poor attitude. Interestingly, only individuals near or slightly older than myself have shown genuine respect. The older receptionists seem particularly unwelcoming, operating like an automated system designed to discourage patients from accessing medical advice through proper channels. Appointment wait times frequently extend 45-60 minutes, and arriving just 5 minutes late results in automatic rejection. Despite being a long-term patient, the primary issue remains the elder receptionists' rudeness. While I'm grateful for the medical assistance, navigating appointments can be incredibly stressful, especially for individuals struggling with mental health challenges.
