Serious eye problem left untreated

I sought a prescription for eye drops due to persistent eye discomfort, and after the doctor issued the medication, the pharmacy informed me it was unavailable. When I requested to consult a physician, I was told I would need to wait 10 days for an appointment. I explained my diabetic condition and additional health concerns, but they claimed they could offer no assistance. Repeated calls yielded the same unhelpful response, forcing me to consider hospital intervention. Their dismissive attitude and complete lack of alternative treatment options caused me significant distress, compelling me to visit the local Royal Hospital's A&E, where I received treatment within an hour. The attending physician emphasized the severity of my condition and promptly arranged a specialist consultation due to the critical nature of my medical situation. This medical practice demonstrates profound deficiencies in patient care and is clearly failing to meet the fundamental duty of care mandated by the NHS. As a result, I am definitively changing my GP and will be filing a formal complaint regarding their substandard level of medical service.
