Shocking medical neglect left me frustrated and alone

I experienced some health concerns towards the end of 2023 and requested a scan from my primary care physician. The medical facility was responsible for processing the referral, but communication completely broke down. After months of silence, I returned to my doctor in March 2024 to stress the critical nature of my scan. They promised a two-week turnaround, yet despite my persistent follow-ups with both the doctor and hospital, I didn't receive a scan appointment until August. Once the scan was completed in August, I endured another three-week wait for results. I made almost daily calls seeking updates and hoping a physician would review my findings. When the results finally arrived, they sent a curt text message simply stating I had a medical condition. There was no personal phone call, no detailed explanation—just an impersonal text. I was utterly horrified by the callousness and detachment of this communication. Being notified of a serious health condition via a text message is deeply inappropriate and demonstrates a profound disregard for patient care and emotional well-being.
