Sick note nightmare with endless delays

If I could rate this clinic group with a negative star rating, I absolutely would. Never have I encountered a more chaotic and unaccommodating medical practice. What should have been a simple request for a university sick note turned into an absolute nightmare. I felt completely besieged by their incompetence, receiving conflicting information, random calls about redoing paperwork without explanation, and even being abruptly hung up on when I sought clarity about why the initial process failed. While I acknowledge that mistakes happen and staff are human, I believe I'm entitled to understand why I'm being repeatedly delayed. After they terminated our previous call and I reconnected (with a different staff member), I'll admit my patience was wearing thin, but I remained as composed as possible while demanding an explanation. Their response was utterly bewildering: everything was supposedly fine, but I'd need to resubmit the form and endure a 28 *working* day wait for the sick note. Seriously? How could such a straightforward document possibly require such an extended timeframe? To add insult to injury, I was informed I'd need to personally fund this note, as it wasn't NHS-covered??? Needless to say, I'll be seeking my sick note elsewhere. Frankly, this entire exhausting process has probably contributed more to my ill health than anything else.
