Staff were nice, but system's broken

I've awarded a 3-star rating solely due to the staff's courteousness. Despite their pleasantness, the service is absolutely terrible! For approximately six months, I've been attempting to schedule routine blood tests. Each time, I'm directed to a 'care navigator' - a role even the receptionist is unfamiliar with - who instructs me to call back on different days at specific times. The conflicting guidance between the navigator and receptionist is bewildering. I'm proceeding with formal complaints to the CQC, patient champion, and NHS England. Fortunately, I've now been offered a blood test with a pharmacist at an alternative practice during out-of-hours periods. My criticism isn't directed at the staff - I recognize their challenging working environment. Instead, I'm highlighting systemic failures that extend beyond this specific GP practice. I believe more people should voice concerns through appropriate channels. By collectively raising issues with relevant authorities, we might drive meaningful improvements. There's absolutely no stigma in constructive feedback, and patients needn't fear differential treatment. As a nurse advocating for vulnerable individuals, I understand the importance of collective action. We're stronger together, and positive change requires unified effort. Stay safe, warm, and well, everyone x
