Terrible customer service and communication disaster

Scheduled appointment through the app 25 days prior, I phoned to verify my spot on the call list, and the receptionist confirmed. Spent an entire day waiting, but no call came through. As a healthcare professional myself, I know this approach is unacceptable. A patient's medical concern should never be treated so casually. This entire experience has been utterly frustrating, leaving me completely bewildered about my next steps. Am I supposed to resort to the emergency room??? Is this the standard response everywhere?
