Terrible customer service ruins healthcare experience

The receptionist's demeanor was appalling. I called at 8:15 am and had to dial 23 times before reaching someone. Despite having a 9 am appointment, I explained to the receptionist that I work alone and cannot leave my job. I politely requested if they had any slots after 3 pm when I finish work. She rudely responded that I cannot "pick and choose" appointments, essentially telling me to call back tomorrow morning (only to likely face the same situation) or take a day off hoping for available time slots. With my multiple health complications, I ironically ended up hospitalized the very next day.
