Terrible customer service ruins medical clinic experience

The most discourteous front desk personnel I've ever come across! It was early morning, so there was no excuse for their poor attitude. I haven't visited a medical office since pre-pandemic times, and I'm grateful I don't require frequent appointments because these individuals are capable of completely destroying any positive momentum for the day. Wouldn't it be possible to find compassionate, empathetic staff who could handle this role? When patients are unwell, is it truly challenging to offer a warm smile and a few comforting words?
