Terrible emergency care at university medical centre

As an international student unfamiliar with the UK's NHS system, I typically rely on private healthcare. However, an emergency situation arose when I unexpectedly fainted and lost consciousness twice in one day, also sustaining a leg injury. I was brought to the UMC seeking medical attention, only to be met with bewildering instructions from the receptionist to "book an appointment" for the following day. I was shocked to discover that this "university medical centre" does not accommodate walk-in patients, which seems counterintuitive. Prior to my visit, I had reviewed their website, which explicitly stated that losing consciousness constitutes an emergency. Despite this, my situation was not treated with the urgency I expected. Adding insult to injury, the receptionist casually suggested I clean my own wound when I return home. Rest assured, I will never voluntarily return to this facility unless absolutely compelled. In case of a genuine emergency, I strongly advise calling 999 for proper medical assistance.
