Terrible gp service left my son suffering needlessly

My young son exhibited signs of a potential urinary tract infection. After consulting 111 the previous evening, they suggested submitting a urine sample and scheduling an appointment. I delivered the sample at 9 am, yet received no follow-up throughout the entire day. I visited the clinic three times between 9 am and 6 pm (their closing time), and was repeatedly instructed to book an online appointment, despite it becoming increasingly clear that my 8-year-old urgently required antibiotics. Instead of addressing the issue promptly at his GP, they directed me to the A&E, where we waited three hours for a urine sample and antibiotic prescription. The entire consultation lasted barely 10 minutes, including the test and prescription. The service was shockingly inadequate, demonstrating complete lack of care and empathy. I sincerely hope their own children never experience such treatment. I'm left questioning the purpose of my tax contributions and the competence of those determining medical priorities. Ironically, I'm simultaneously bombarded with text messages about daily blood pressure checks, and while they recommend loaning a blood pressure machine, they refuse due to a supposed 'waiting list'. I understand budget constraints might contribute to this situation, but the inconsistent communication and endless correspondence seem utterly nonsensical.
