Terrible gp surgery with zero patient care

I rarely write reviews, but the overwhelmingly negative comments here motivated me to share my perspective — and regrettably, I completely understand the criticism. This GP practice consistently falls short in every aspect. My father, a registered patient, has been enduring severe back pain {potentially a Hernia Disc as per A&E Doctor evaluation} and has already visited A&E twice. He consulted a doctor at this very practice last week {following A&E attendance}, during which a sick note was specifically requested. Nevertheless, we are still awaiting its processing — an administrative task that should have been simple, especially considering his medical records clearly indicate he is currently unfit for physically demanding work. Even more frustrating, their online system provides an option to request a sick note, only to later send a message stating an appointment is necessary. If that's the case, why offer the option at all? Why mislead patients instead of establishing clear expectations? Their website explicitly states, "Contact us about a fit (sick) note," which any rational person would assume is the correct procedure. When I raised this with the receptionist, she merely replied, "I can't do anything about it," rather than acknowledging the issue or committing to escalate it to management. A more professional response would have been to note the confusion and promise to forward the feedback — especially considering how many patients might be misled by this. By 8am today, their system was already at full capacity for online requests. This is unacceptable. When I telephoned, the receptionist also informed me they were completely booked and that one of their doctors is currently on vacation. That is not a valid justification — if you are understaffed, bring in a temporary replacement. Do not dismiss patients with inadequate explanations. There is a total absence of efficiency, empathy, and basic communication here. It is incredibly exasperating to interact with a healthcare provider that demonstrates such minimal concern for the individuals it is supposed to serve.
