Terrible healthcare experience with delayed response

What an appalling situation! I was instructed to monitor my blood pressure twice daily for a five-day period. I diligently recorded the less-than-optimal readings and submitted them to the medical practice. After waiting eight days with no response, I contacted the receptionist, who was quite supportive and relayed my information to the physician. Subsequently, I received notification that the Doctor intends to modify my prescription and will contact me on August 3rd, which is more than three weeks in the future.!!! What potential risks might have gone unnoticed if I hadn't been proactive in following up!!
