Terrible healthcare service with unhelpful receptionists

A persistent infection lingering for five weeks apparently doesn't qualify as urgent, even after consulting an out-of-hours physician the previous evening. The reception team displays an appalling attitude, dismissively stating 'this is just the current standard' when you're trapped waiting on hold. Should you need to reschedule an appointment but find yourself stuck in their interminable queue, they'll somehow criticize you for not canceling earlier. How exactly are you supposed to respond to that?
