Terrible medical service that fails patients consistently

What an absolute travesty this medical practice is. I seldom contact them because more often than not, I'm turned away. Last year, I called requesting a phone consultation and received a callback two hours later with a prescription. Today, the protocol has mysteriously shifted, and now I can only schedule a call two weeks from now! The expectation that patients should wait a fortnight is utterly incomprehensible. This is precisely why I rarely attempt to seek help, typically choosing to endure my health issues knowing assistance is unlikely. My simple request was a brief callback to discuss a recurring medical problem and request a prescription renewal. Why have the rules suddenly become so convoluted? What purpose does a general practice serve when they essentially tell patients to disappear or navigate bureaucratic obstacles weeks later? Their reception staff require comprehensive training, as I receive contradictory information and varying rules with each call. Not that it matters, since the surgery appears perpetually fully booked. I've frequently waited weeks for urgent prescriptions, ultimately resorting to consulting my specialist in London instead. Fundamental changes are desperately needed. Instead of investing in cosmetic improvements like a new entrance, they should focus on genuinely supporting patients rather than systematically dismissing them. Now I must endure another frustrating 24-hour wait, likely to be met with another rejection, so once again I'll silently manage my health issue because the GP refuses assistance. And to preempt any dismissive response - I wouldn't be expending this energy if my experience weren't absolutely genuine.
