Terrible patient experience with unhelpful and rude staff

Attempted to register as a new patient with my elderly mother. The initial receptionist showed minimal interest in explaining procedures and seemed eager to dismiss us, displaying poor customer service. A subsequent staff member was more accommodating. Returned a second time after receiving a text about urgent medication. The pharmacist didn't have the prescription, as the original sender hadn't completed the process, and directed us back to the GP. Encountered the same initial receptionist who was abrasive and demanded blood tests, despite my earlier extensive explanation that these were completed just three weeks prior to our move. Wasted 50 minutes on a phone call, only to have my mother asked again to undergo blood work in the afternoon. When she struggled to understand the request, I attempted to clarify from a distance, competing with another admin's loud phone conversation. To my surprise, the receptionist rudely snapped, "Do not shout at me," despite my measured tone, and showed no interest in listening or helping. As an NHS doctor myself, committed to quality care and staff friendliness, especially for new patients needing guidance, I found this treatment unacceptable. This is the first time I'm seriously considering changing our GP.
