Terrible phone service at local medical surgery

I attempted to contact the medical practice twice this morning at 8am. Following a 25-minute wait, the receptionist picked up and abruptly ended the call within 2 seconds, cutting me off mid-sentence. I redialed and endured another 15-minute wait. The same receptionist answered, and when I said hello and they asked how they could help, they again immediately terminated the call. I found this incredibly frustrating, especially since it seemed like they had acknowledged my presence. The surgery is well aware of their extensive morning phone wait times. It's incomprehensible why they would not even allow patients a moment to communicate before disconnecting. Their conduct was extremely unprofessional, and it genuinely felt like a deliberate attempt to avoid assisting patients.
