Terrible phone service ruins long-standing patient experience

I've been a patient at this medical office for three decades. Previously, their front desk staff was competent and responsive, promptly handling phone calls. Currently, no matter when you dial, you're guaranteed a wait of 45 to 60 minutes before reaching anyone. How is it possible that when you're second in the queue, it still takes three-quarters of an hour to get a response? I'm extremely frustrated and disappointed. The sole justification for my two-star rating is the exceptional quality of the physicians and nursing team. 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
