Terrible phone system wastes precious healthcare time

Attempting to schedule an appointment is a challenge in itself. This morning, I called just before 8 AM and found the lines closed, then immediately redialed at 8 AM only to be 37th in the queue. I'm calling for a friend who has been suffering from serious health issues for an extended period. The whole process is utterly absurd. In previous interactions, when I've eventually managed to reach a staff member, they've been courteous and supportive. However, the difficulty in simply making initial contact is completely unacceptable.
