Terrible reception staff ruin a once-great surgery

I've been a patient at this practice for 34 years, and it used to be a fantastic surgery with staff like Mary at reception who was warm, empathetic, and truly knew the patients. My doctors Dr Harris and Dr Barhey are excellent when you see them, but getting past the reception staff feels like navigating a hostile checkpoint. A few months ago, I was instructed to collect a maternity exemption form, but the receptionist repeatedly and aggressively insisted she didn't understand what I was talking about. Feeling incredibly ill from morning sickeness, I was too exhausted to argue until I firmly stated the doctor had sent me. She then provided the wrong medical exemption form. I submitted feedback about her unprofessional conduct, but nothing changed. Today, when I called needing an appointment for a chest infection, I encountered the same staff member. Her dismissive tone was unmistakable. Despite attempting to remain cordial, her attitude makes it challenging. She appears to be a slim Asian woman in her 30s, treating patients with complete contempt and zero compassion. She is fundamentally unsuited to her role and urgently needs to be addressed. Already feeling vulnerable and unwell, her approach has only intensified my distress - I can only imagine how she might treat elderly or mentally vulnerable patients. The most frustrating aspect is that despite supposedly being fully booked, the waiting room is always empty, unlike in the past when eight patients would be present. No wonder our emergency services are overwhelmed.
