Terrible receptionist ruined my entire medical experience

The receptionist was incredibly discourteous and highly unprofessional. On 21/01/22, I visited to schedule an appointment for my mother after failing to connect by phone for two consecutive days. I remained in the queue from precisely 8am until 09:33 when someone finally answered, only to be informed no appointments were available. The following morning yielded identical results. Receptionists represent the initial point of contact and embody the medical practice's corporate image, so a professional approach toward patients is fundamental. This particular receptionist behaves as though she owns the surgery when she's essentially inconsequential. Her lack of basic courtesy is appalling. I'm genuinely perplexed about how she secured this position and question whether she's received any training in customer service or interpersonal skills. To those responsible for staff development: please mandate communication and customer relations training for your reception team. Basic professionalism should be a prerequisite. The service is so substandard that I would assign zero stars if possible - which accurately reflects my complete dissatisfaction with this experience.
