Terrible receptionists ruin this medical practice

My family has been loyal to this GP for generations, and we've observed a deterioration in staff quality. While the doctors seem acceptable, the receptionists are absolutely appalling. I'm at a loss for words to describe their abysmal attitude and demeanor. Initially unsure if this treatment was unique to my family, reading online reviews confirmed my suspicions. I was shocked to discover how terribly they treat vulnerable patients in desperate need. This morning at precisely 8:00, I was placed 23rd in the queue, which I initially didn't mind. However, I was met with an incredibly hostile reception. This isn't an isolated incident, but today was particularly egregious. The receptionist's tone was condescending, making me feel completely insignificant. At 8:00 AM, she seemed intent on confronting a seriously ill patient. Despite maintaining my composure, she appeared irritated by my illness. It's clear she despises her job, so why hasn't she resigned? This pattern of behavior isn't new - the Asian staff member is equally, if not more, discourteous. She's hung up on me multiple times when attempting to schedule an appointment. I'm utterly bewildered by their conduct. It feels like this GP is actively working against my family's survival. For two years, I've endured similar experiences, most traumatically when they repeatedly delayed appointments, ultimately contributing to my mother's preventable death. The General Practitioners Commission must intervene and replace these receptionists. They systematically dehumanize vulnerable patients, seemingly deriving pleasure from their cruelty. They need to understand their role: they're merely receptionists, not healthcare gatekeepers. Their behavior requires immediate scrutiny. Moreover, I sensed a discriminatory undertone in her communication, speaking to me as if I were linguistically challenged. If this continues, I'll have my sister pursue a formal discrimination complaint. If our medical needs are such an inconvenience, they're clearly in the wrong profession.
