Terrible service and disrespectful staff at clinic

My partner sought an urgent medical consultation yesterday, his first visit to this practice in a long time. Upon arriving at reception, he was met with an abrasive greeting: 'Why are you here at the desk?' The receptionist's tone was unnecessarily harsh. A simple, professional response like 'Please sign in over there' would have been appropriate. Regardless of personal mood, customer service requires basic respect. If you cannot maintain a courteous demeanor in a customer-facing role, perhaps it's time to consider alternative employment. Healthcare settings are stressful enough without adding interpersonal hostility. Moreover, he was led to believe he would consult with a physician, but instead was seen by a medical assistant. This appears symptomatic of a broader issue: an overcrowded patient load with insufficient medical staff, yet appointments continue to be scheduled indiscriminately.
