Terrible service at ilford medical centre

I developed a fever and contacted Ilford Medical Centre, leaving a callback request. They returned my call around 12:40 pm, and when I explained my symptoms, they informed me that the appointment line was closed and advised me to call back tomorrow. I emphasized that I was unwell with a fever, but they reiterated that the appointment line was closed. When I suggested changing my GP, their response was essentially "it's entirely up to you." The interaction felt more reminiscent of a healthcare system in a developing country rather than the UK's expected standard of medical care.
