Terrible service endangering vulnerable elderly patient

My mother suffers from a chronic condition. The pharmacy has been dragging their feet on the prescription all week. She would have been without her medication if I hadn't intervened this morning. The pharmacy was also missing one of her tablet types. The GP practice delayed sending the prescription incredibly late. Thankfully, the pharmacy managed to compile a one-week supply. They delivered it right as I was attempting to collect it from their location. We're dealing with chronic kidney failure in her sole functioning kidney, and she's 73 years old, not on dialysis or awaiting a transplant. Now there's delirium? And potentially dementia? They've removed her community matron support? They're just generating appointments via computer. An echocardiogram is scheduled next month. She's 73 and has never had one before. They keep sending referral letters to create an illusion of action. I've changed GPs, but I remain my mother's advocate. 27/06/2023 You requested a review. Appointment-only calls. While I'm at work! You want an annual urine test? Are you seriously joking? Check the hospital correspondence! The most incompetent GP practice I'd rate them 1* if I could - they don't even deserve that!
