Terrible service for vulnerable newborn baby

The receptionist was incredibly unhelpful and dismissive when I called at 10:45 to schedule an appointment for my 6-week-old baby, who was also 7 weeks premature. I was informed that his specific GP had no available slots for several weeks and suggested I call in the morning to secure an appointment. This is unacceptable - a 6-week-old infant should be able to see ANY general practitioner, not just his designated doctor. After consulting with a health visitor, I was advised to contact 111. When I called at 11:45, they insisted the GP must see my baby within 2 hours. However, since the clinic closes at 12, they effectively ensured no one would see him at all. My anger goes beyond mere frustration. While lack of appointments for adults is problematic, refusing to see a premature newborn is absolutely reprehensible.
