Terrible service leads to delayed pneumonia diagnosis

I consulted a private Vitality GP who advised urgent care from my regular doctor, requiring a same-day appointment. Upon calling the practice, the receptionist coldly refused, stating "NO appointments today" and instructed me to call at 8 AM. The following morning, I called at 8 AM and discovered I was 34th in the queue. Frustrated, I used the DR IQ app (a terrible application) to book an appointment. When the doctor called, they inquired about my need for an appointment. I explained my painful lungs, severe cough, and the urgent referral from my private GP. The Carpenters Practice doctor dismissively responded, "You're fine. I'll prescribe amoxicillin for 5 days. If it doesn't help, come in person." Five days later, my condition dramatically worsened - I was vomiting mucus and food, experiencing brief blackouts from oxygen deprivation, and struggling to secure an appointment despite early morning calls. Eventually, I secured an in-person appointment after the doctor contacted me via the DR IQ app. Reluctantly, I abandoned work and rushed to the consultation. The doctor immediately declared, "This appears to be pneumonia. I cannot hear your lung's lower section. You should have sought treatment weeks ago." They prescribed stronger antibiotics and provided a sputum test kit, directing me to collect it from the front desk and obtain hospital X-ray referrals. Following instructions, I returned at 5:45 PM with my sample, only to be coldly told by the receptionist, "Collection is at 3 PM. Return tomorrow." Exasperated, I left. At the hospital, the technician informed me the GP might take two weeks to review my X-ray results. Utterly frustrated by their incompetence and disregard, I returned to the practice at 2:30 PM, determined to submit my sputum sample. Despite the staff's protests, I firmly left the sample, declaring the doctor had instructed me to do so. I will be reporting this practice to the NHS OMBUDSMAN for negligence and complete lack of patient care.
