Terrible service leaves patient frustrated and unheard

Battling a persistent sore throat for several days, I exhausted all available pharmacy treatments and resorted to an online consultation request. The website promised a response within 1-2 hours, yet four hours passed with no communication. The practice had already closed for half a day. While I understand the current healthcare challenges through my NHS work, there's absolutely no justification for disregarding patients who have proactively sought help to reduce medical system strain. I'm thoroughly disappointed. It's clear why general practitioners are receiving negative media coverage. Having been registered with this practice since its inception, this isn't the first instance my family has encountered problematic interactions with dismissive staff and unresponsive doctors. Although alternative local practices aren't significantly better, I'm reluctantly resigned to staying with this familiar, albeit frustrating, healthcare provider.
