Terrible service saved by private doctor's care

I've been battling sinusitis and hearing issues for over a month, and initially, the GP was reluctant to see me. They prescribed a nasal spray without an in-person consultation, and after a week of no improvement, I finally got an appointment with Dr Sritharan. She examined my ears, declared there was some wax but nothing serious, and suggested using olive oil. Seeking a second opinion, I consulted a private doctor who diagnosed an ear infection, prescribed antibiotics and a steroid spray. Within just three days, I noticed significant improvement and my hearing returned. In my view, this GP practice was a complete waste of time; they act as if seeing patients is a favor, constantly using Covid as an excuse. Here's a message for doctors: your job is to help people, so just put on a mask and do your work. It's absolutely outrageous that patients can only get telephone appointments and must practically beg for face-to-face consultations. And heaven help you if you cough or sneeze - they'll immediately label it as Covid, as if no other illnesses exist anymore...
