Terrible service transformed into a patient-friendly practice

This medical practice used to be top-tier, but has now become one of the worst in the area. While the physicians themselves are competent, securing an actual consultation is virtually impossible. The front desk staff are discourteous, frequently disconnecting calls after prolonged wait times or simply ignoring incoming calls entirely. Despite seemingly constant availability of open slots, appointments remain unavailable. The recently implemented 111 system has only exacerbated the problem - I've been attempting to schedule a consultation for over four weeks without success. It's particularly frustrating that they contacted me about a necessary follow-up appointment from a hospital visit, yet refuse to actually provide said appointment. The situation is utterly absurd and they urgently need to overhaul their scheduling procedures. EDIT 2025 The situation has significantly improved. While the new triage system initially seemed challenging, it's now remarkably effective and ensures appointments are almost always accessible when needed. Carol at reception is exceptional, consistently going above and beyond to resolve issues. The doctors remain skilled and compassionate, and John Kirby, the paramedic, is both delightful and extraordinarily proficient in his role.
