Terrible service with confusing and unhelpful communication

Extremely annoying experience... typically, scheduling slots are unavailable beyond the current day. Surprisingly, I managed to secure an appointment for the previous day, which was confirmed both verbally and about 10 days after my initial call, which seemed acceptable. My husband and I both understood it as a phone consultation. Unfortunately, I missed the appointment. Upon calling to explain, I was met with dismissive responses like "Why would you think that?" and "No one would have said that." They insisted that examining a lump requires an in-person visit. When I asked about next steps, I was simply told to call back in the morning. How is that helpful?! If advance booking is possible, why couldn't they have immediately rescheduled me for another day right then and there?
