Terrible service with no improvement during covid

Very minimal progress, even during the pandemic. In fact, their service has deteriorated in many aspects. Before Covid, receptionists would be seen chatting among themselves, not answering phone calls, and ignoring patients standing right in front of them. Their call response remains equally poor now. Phone queues are excruciatingly long, with wait times extending even when you're first in line. It's astonishing that receptionists attempt to provide medical diagnoses over the phone, often advising patients to simply wait, despite lacking proper medical qualifications or understanding. Covid restrictions prevent in-person visits, even when absolutely necessary. A recent personal experience highlights this: a medical issue too complex to explain via phone requires physical examination. Yet, they remain indifferent. Their solution is requesting image submissions via email to be forwarded to a doctor for a phone consultation. However, there's no guarantee these images are received, communicated, or reviewed, rendering the entire process ineffective and potentially leading to incorrect diagnoses. Phone appointments lack specific timing, forcing patients to remain available all day, with no guarantee of actually receiving a call. Securing an appointment feels like winning a lottery, with availability seemingly dependent on personal connections rather than medical need. The system appears riddled with favoritism, where knowing someone significantly improves your chances of receiving care. Recent update reveals continued unprofessionalism. After being invited to join a patient improvement forum months ago, communication has stalled. Despite repeated attempts to contact the surgery's manager—through phone messages, receptionist intermediaries, and eventually email—no meaningful follow-up has occurred. The process of obtaining correct contact information was itself frustratingly complicated, underscoring their systemic inefficiency.
