they removed his medication with no warning

My husband switched to this practice just under a month ago and has already decided to leave. The surgery removed his medication from his repeat prescriptions without any prior notice, which is completely unacceptable. He transferred his records over and requested his standard ADHD medication within the appropriate timeframe, but it was denied with no explanation provided. When he resubmitted the request, still within the correct window, it was rejected again. I called the following day on his behalf and was told they hadn't received the shared care documentation, despite this information being part of the medical records transferred to them. He should have been informed about this the next day. Fortunately, I contacted his mental health team, who saw him immediately, dispensed the medication, and arranged to send all necessary paperwork to the GP surgery beforehand. That afternoon came the message he should have received the previous day, stating he needed to consult with the shared care provider before they could continue his prescription. When he checked the NHS app, he found his medication had been removed from his repeat prescription list without any justification. He was following the exact procedures the GP surgery had outlined with his shared care provider. This unnecessary situation has caused him considerable distress, and given that he has autism and ADHD, it was deeply upsetting. The removal was entirely avoidable since shared care was already liaising with the surgery about his ongoing prescription. Additionally, we're travelling soon and need the medication listed on his repeat prescriptions to take it abroad. Due to this poor service and lack of communication, we're switching GP surgeries immediately, and the process will be complicated by the fact that his medication has been deleted from his records.
