Turned away for being ten minutes late

I don't typically leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my disappointment on this occasion. I was ten minutes late for my appointment and was not seen by the clinician. I could have accepted this if I had been significantly delayed, but given it was only ten minutes, I feel there should have been some flexibility. Given the current pressures within the NHS, patients already face lengthy waiting times of over a month to secure an appointment. This discourages many from seeking care in the first place, and the lack of empathy from clinical staff only compounds this issue. During a previous visit, I experienced a twenty-minute wait before being seen. Punctuality is rarely maintained at my appointments. It seems inconsistent that clinicians are afforded leniency with their schedules while patients are not. I believe this practice would benefit from reviewing its approach.
