Turned away when injured, then helpful with prescriptions

My elderly mother recently experienced a fall in the garden and attended the surgery with a visible injury. Upon arrival, she was informed by a member of staff that they were unable to see her at that time and suggested she seek care elsewhere. Feeling shaken by the incident, my mother left without receiving treatment. A week later, when she required antibiotics, the clinician expressed surprise at the care she had received during her initial visit. This experience felt inconsistent, and I felt disappointed by the lack of support offered at that moment, such as guidance on alternative options or emergency services. However, I recognise that the practice has provided good care on other occasions. For instance, they recently handled a prescription matter very well, with the reception team promptly liaising with the pharmacy to resolve the issue.
