Two hour wait on phone queue

I had a very poor experience. I called in the morning before 8:30am requesting a prescription. I was instructed to call back after 3pm. When I dialed at 2:55pm, I experienced an extremely long wait time of approximately 2 hours, and there were several people ahead of me in the queue. Upon finally getting through, I was informed that the callback window had closed and it was now too late. The extended wait with multiple callers ahead made this process very frustrating. I was unable to obtain the prescription I needed. I had been managing over the weekend, but given my discomfort, I required the prescription as the medication is ineffective without it. The pharmacist had specifically requested confirmation via phone call. When I sought further assistance, I was directed to call 111, who then redirected me back to the GP. This circular process felt entirely inadequate. This has been the most disappointing healthcare experience I have encountered.
