Unhelpful gp practice with frustrating reception staff

My family recently registered with this GP, and their approach seems disorganized and inflexible. I was given a specific date for my baby's 8-week vaccinations, but on the day, I was informed it was an error and we could only be seen the following week because the baby was slightly under 8 weeks old. When we arrived the next week 15 minutes late, we were told the nurse would not see us and we'd need to reschedule for another week later. I requested to wait in case an appointment slot became available, but the receptionist curtly repeated that we would not be seen due to our lateness. I inquired about any available appointments before the next week and was firmly told no, with a warning that we must be punctual for future appointments or risk being turned away. There was no attempt to be accommodating or show understanding of the challenges of being precisely on time with a newborn. Another review similarly noted the receptionists' abruptness, which matched my own experience. While I acknowledge the NHS faces significant pressures, our previous GP in another London borough always prioritized children's medical appointments. Update: After emailing a complaint, the practice manager contacted me the next day. She explained their 10-minute appointment grace period policy, apologized for the negative interaction, detailed their staff training initiatives to minimize errors, and offered an earlier vaccination slot the next day. I'm genuinely impressed by their swift and sincere response to my concerns. It's clear this practice takes feedback seriously and is committed to continuous improvement.
