Unhelpful receptionist made me feel uncomfortable today

Around 5:05 PM on July 14th, 2025, I contacted the medical practice to request the inclusion of two prescription items on the Boots repeat system, where my other medications are already registered. Although I understand receptionists typically cannot handle prescription requests, I simply wanted these two medications added to my existing repeat list. Upon answering, the receptionist listened to my full explanation without interruption, not even asking for my date of birth. Immediately after I finished speaking, she casually stated, "That's fine, I'll get them added on." Her tone throughout the conversation was so detached that, before she could end the call, I double-checked which medications I was referring to. She confirmed with a disinterested "yes," which prompted me to abruptly end the call, as I had never experienced such an impersonal interaction before. I've consistently recommended this surgery to everyone I know and generally avoid complaining, but this encounter genuinely surprised me and felt worth mentioning. Despite this unusual experience, I want to emphasize that you all continue to provide excellent service.
