Unhelpful receptionist nearly delayed crucial medical check

I arrived early to schedule a consultation with my primary care physician. The front desk staff informed me the earliest available slot was five weeks out. When I explained my concern about an unidentified growth on my head, she suggested I either ring 111 or visit urgent care. Following a call to 111, I ultimately consulted a pharmacist. They subsequently arranged an immediate appointment with my GP that same day. Interestingly, the receptionist later told the pharmacist she wouldn't have dismissed me had she understood the seriousness of my head lump. Thanks for the misleading information.
