Unprofessional and dismissive medical receptionist service

I was deeply distressed after contacting the clinic about a sensitive personal matter. The receptionist's demeanor was curt, dismissive, and made me feel ashamed for even reaching out. Initially, I was promised a doctor would contact me, but instead received a text message about a prescription being issued. When I called back to express concerns about being prescribed medication without a proper consultation, I was met with a dismissive "Well, what did you expect?" I responded that I anticipated speaking with a doctor or nurse. The conversation quickly became uncomfortable, with the receptionist displaying clear hostility. The call abruptly ended with the receptionist curtly saying "ok" and hanging up mid-conversation, leaving me feeling unheard and frustrated. My complaint isn't about the medical actions taken, but solely about the unprofessional communication. I strongly urge the practice to review the phone call recording. As a young woman, this experience has significantly deterred me from seeking help for intimate health concerns in the future. I'm uncertain what happened to the 'Be Kind' ethos. Despite my negative experience, I genuinely hope the receptionist receives the support she seems to need, as her evident unhappiness is clearly affecting her professional interactions.
