Unprofessional sonographer ruins medical appointment experience

The sonographer displayed an utterly unacceptable level of rudeness and unprofessionalism, making me feel completely degraded as a patient. My appointment was mysteriously cancelled after I inquired about alternative time slots due to childcare issues. My grandmother was outside walking my 6-month-old baby so I could attend this crucial scan. Instead of addressing concerns privately, the sonographer chose to embarrass me in a crowded reception area. She repeatedly emphasized that the situation wasn't her fault, while simultaneously claiming she couldn't perform the scan because I wasn't desperate enough to use the toilet. Ironically, she eventually conducted the scan after realizing she had publicly upset me, revealing her earlier resistance as deliberately obstructive. This appointment was meant to investigate a previous hospital finding, causing significant anxiety, yet she showed zero empathy throughout our interaction. Her colleague in the scanning room compounded my discomfort by staring at me disrespectfully. The staff seemed irritated about being delayed past their preferred 4 pm departure time, and I suspect my younger age contributed to their dismissive attitude. As a healthcare professional myself, I would be mortified to witness such treatment of a patient. Fortunately, this isn't my regular medical practice - had it been, I would unquestionably file a formal complaint and seek alternative care.
